Honestly, when I was getting my first credit card, I did a lot of research and what I learned is that the best credit card for beginners is usually a secured credit card, especially if you don’t have a credit history yet. Personally, I started with a FD-backed credit card (I used the Stable Money- Suryoday Bank credit card) where I just opened a fixed deposit and got a credit card against it, no income proof or credit score needed. It was super easy to apply, and I got cashback on my spends while building my credit score safely. So if you’re just starting out and want to keep things simple and low-risk, I’d definitely recommend going with an FD-backed card. It really helped me get comfortable with managing credit.
