when does credit score start?
Hi,
Your credit score doesn’t exist automatically the moment you turn 18 or start earning money. It only begins once you start using credit products. Your credit score usually starts the first time you take or use credit card, personal loan, car loan, or home loan, an EMI-based product or becoming a co-borrower or guarantor on someone else’s loan
As soon as the bank or lender reports your repayment activity to a credit bureau (like CIBIL in India), your credit profile is created. Typically, this happens within 6 months of your first credit activity. Your credit score starts when you first borrow money (or use a credit product).
