Dhanteras is around the corner. What do you suggest we not buy?
On Dhanteras, I like to be mindful of what I buy so the day stays truly auspicious. Here’s what I avoid:
- Sharp objects: I do not buy knives, scissors, or pins as my grandfather believes they bring bad luck.
- Glass items: You can avoid glass because it is fragile, and my grandparents consider it unlucky.
- Iron and steel: I stay away from iron or steel items. If I need new utensils, I prefer copper or brass.
- Black-colored items: You may avoid anything black and instead choose bright, positive colours like gold, red, or yellow.
- Oil and ghee: I do not buy these on Dhanteras as my parents believe they are inauspicious and cause financial losses.
- Gifts: I avoid buying or exchanging gifts on this day and usually do it a day before to keep good fortune intact.
Apart from all these, you should never lend or borrow on Dhanteras to keep the day free from financial negativity. Rather invest in Gold Mutual Funds, increase your wealth and stay prosperous.
