What is Variable Recurring Deposit

what is variable recurring deposit?

Hi,
A Variable Recurring Deposit (VRD) is like a normal recurring deposit, but with more flexibility. In a regular RD, you have to deposit a fixed amount every month, but in a VRD you can choose how much you want to deposit each month, depending on your comfort and financial situation. For example, one month you might put in ₹1,000, another month ₹2,500, or sometimes even skip if needed, as long as you stay within the minimum and maximum limit set by the bank. The money still earns interest like a normal RD, but the main benefit is that it doesn’t lock you into a fixed amount, which makes it easier to manage when your income or expenses keep changing.
