I recently checked the Fixed Deposit (FD) rates at Punjab National Bank (PNB) for opening a fixed deposit account and as of June 2025, PNB offers interest rates ranging from around 3.25% to 6% per annum for regular customers, depending on the tenure from short 7‑day deposits up to 10‑year ones, with the peak rate generally at the 390‑day FD. Senior citizens get an extra 0.5 bps boost, super senior citizens get 0.80 bps, which is quite competitive. So if you’re thinking of locking in an FD with PNB now, expect rates between 3.25% and 6%, with even better returns if you’re over 60.
