Please share what is fuel surcharge in credit card?
When I was applying for the credit card, I was just going through the benefits and I noticed that there was something called fuel surcharge waiver. It was a bit confusing so I asked my brother. He said that whenever he uses his credit card to pay for gas at the petrol pump, he has to pay a fuel surcharge. Since the transaction has to be processed the credit card issuer levies fuel surcharge to cover the cost. I asked him how much is this fuel surcharge? He said it is somewhere between 1% and 3%.
Since it is a recurring expense, having a credit card that offers a fuel surcharge waiver sounds like a good deal. Don’t you think?
