I was in the bank and the executive asked me about my CIF number. I couldn’t figure it out. Can anyone let me know what is CIF no?
It is that alphanumeric code given in your passbook. CIF is a Customer Information File. It is assigned to each customer separately as an identity with the bank.
Whenever you are on a bank visit, you should have your CIF number with you as the bank identifies you and your details with this number. All your personal and financial information is accessible via CIF number.
If you don’t have your CIF number in person with you through passbook, you can check your account statement. It must have your CIF number.
Another way to get your CIF number is by visiting your profile on the mobile banking app.
That is pretty much it. If you have more questions, please drop them in the comments, I will be happy to help you ![]()
