Having a 763 credit score. Is it good?
I understand, seeing a credit score around 770 or 780 feels like it is easy to go! And, in reality, it is.
With a credit score of 763, I applied for a home loan and got approval quickly. To my surprise, my lender even said, “We can offer a higher credit limit.” So, yes! 763 is a good credit score!
It unlocks the door to many opportunities for an applicant:
- Fastest loan approvals.
- Lower interest rates.
- Favourable terms and conditions.
And, you become a reliable borrower in your lender’s eyes. Moreover, they can give you some advice on how to improve your score and avail other exciting opportunities further.
In my case, those were:
- Not to wait till the due date, I must pay my bills a little early.
- Keep my card usage under 30%, actually as little as possible.
- Not to hurt my score with frequent hard inquiries within a short span, I must avoid applying for new credit.
I used them and noticed an improvement. Try out these tips too, and believe me, grabbing the “excellent” tag for your credit score isn’t far away.
