Well, you are entitled to withdraw your PF amount after leaving a job. Fortunately, the process is simple with online access. Earlier, it was quite difficult to withdraw PF amount with so much confusion in offline set up. Anyway, you can withdraw full PF amount if you have been unemployed for more than 2 months or have retired. You can also withdraw PF in case you have decided to not join any other organization soon.
The steps to withdraw PF online are simple.
- Login to the UAN Portal at unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in
- Enter your UAN, password and captcha.
- Verify your KYC details like Aadhaar, PAN and bank account details
- Now in the online services section, fill the claim form (‘Claim Form-31, 19, 10C & 10D).
- Enter bank details
- Choose ‘Only PF Withdrawal (Form 19)’ next and submit all the details along with proper documents.
Make sure to keep the claim reference number with you. If everything goes well, you should get your amount within 7to 10 working days.
