I am planning to open RD in SBI. Pl share how to open RD account in SBI?
I see you are wondering about “how to open an RD account in SBI.” Fortunately, the process is simple (applicable to both online and offline). As I recently went through the online procedure, let me explain that first.
You only need to follow these 4 steps:
- Visit the State Bank of India’s official internet banking portal or open the YONO app.
- Then, click on the ‘LOGIN’ button positioned at the bottom of the ‘PERSONAL BANKING’ section.
- Hit the ‘CONTINUE TO LOGIN’ button.
- You will view a form. Enter your username, password, and captcha to log in.
- After you log in, click on ‘Request’>‘e-Fixed Deposit’>‘e-RD’>‘Proceed’
- Here, you need to select your SBI savings account details from where the bank will deduct the RD amount every month
- Plus, enter the deposit amount and the tenure.
- Lastly, hit the ‘Submit’ button to open your e-RD account in SBI.
Make sure to select 12 months, as this is the minimum tenure for an online deposit for RD.
However, you may choose the offline process as well. For that, you need to visit the nearest SBI branch, collect a recurring deposit application form, and fill it out with the help of a bank representative. Both processes are hassle-free. Follow the one that is most convenient to you.
