Anybody has an idea how to fill sbi deposit slip? I am new to this and utterly confused.
Filling out an SBI deposit slip is easier than you think. However, if you are depositing cash or a cheque at an SBI branch for the first time, you might get confused.
Do not worry, I have mentioned the steps on how to fill an SBI deposit slip by sections, it will help you avoid any hassle while depositing money:
- Visit the SBI branch where you have an account and obtain a deposit slip.
- A slip has two sections, one for you and another for the bank.
- Fill in the account holder’s name of the branch on both sides of this slip.
- Write the date and account number accurately on both sides of that slip.
- Write the name of the account holder, deposit amount (both numerically and alphabetically).
- When depositing in cash, separate that amount into denominations, like ₹50010, ₹10050, etc. For cheque or demand draft deposits, provide the cheque or DD number.
- Write the bank-registered mobile number of the account holder and sign on both sides of this slip.
- Present this slip to the bank teller with cash, cheque or DD. He or she will stamp and sign that slip, return a depositor’s copy to you and deposit your amount.
