How to Fill FD Form?

Explain how to fill fd form

Of all banking forms I have filled out, an FD form is the easiest. The details you need to provide are:

  • Your name, as it appears in KYC documents and your current address. Next, you add your customer ID.

For a joint FD account, you need to fill in these same details for the second holder.

These details help the bank link the FD to your account. There could be an additional form or step if you are not an existing customer.

  • Next, fill in the amount of money and tenure of the FD. Then, choose the type of FD you prefer.

In cumulative FD, the interest is added to your deposit, and in non-cumulative, interest is paid out regularly.

  • Fill in your savings or current account number where you want your interest and maturity amount to be deposited.
  • Choose who will operate the account. Select ‘Self’ if you are opening it alone, or ‘Either or Survivor’ for a joint FD.
  • If you want to add a nominee, enter details such as their name and relationship with you.
  • Finally, choose your payment mode and sign. Tick whether you will pay by cheque or through your linked account.
  • Attach all necessary documents, and your FD form is ready for submission.

Lastly, remember that the form structure and chronology may vary by the bank. Read it carefully.
