How to Calculate 14 Carat Gold Rate

how to calculate 14 carat gold rate?

Hi,
When I had to figure out the 14-carat gold rate, I learned it’s actually quite simple once you know the basics. To calculate the 14 carat (14K) gold rate, you must know that pure gold is considered 24 carat (24K). So, 14K gold means it contains 14 parts pure gold and 10 parts other metals (like copper, silver, zinc) to give it strength and make gold jewellery. In percentage terms, 14K gold has 58.33% pure gold (14 ÷ 24 × 100).
You can calculate gold rate by first checking the current 24K gold price (per gram) then multiplying that price by 14/24 (or about 0.583). You will get the rate of 14-carat gold per gram. You can just weighed your jewelry and multiply by this rate to know its value, jewellers might also add making charges or deduct purity testing costs.
