When gold is brought mostly people get confused with tola as it is used commonly in the market by the jewellers. Infact, in the beginning I also got confused about the term “tola” because I was only familiar with grams. The jeweler explained and did some research about it and got to know that 1 tola of gold equals 11.66 grams. So whenever someone says they bought 1 tola of gold, it means the weight is a little more than 11 and a half grams. This is a traditional Indian measurement that’s still commonly used in gold shops.
