Where to Use Credit Card?

I have a credit card and I want to know where to use my credit card?

Use your credit card where it is convenient and offers extra value, such as cashback and reward points. But always be careful when using your credit card.

Though some people use their credit cards for impulsive buying, I use them smartly to save money. I have four credit cards, and since the first month, I have had zero defaults.

Here are some of my credit card use cases:

  • Online and Offline Shopping

I use my cards to buy products online and offline, especially when there is a credit card discount offer. If a no-cost EMI option is available, I opt for that.

  • Paying Bills

I have a card that offers 5% cashback on online transactions. So, I use that card to pay all my household bills.

  • Travel Bookings

If your credit card offers discounts on flight and hotel bookings, then why would you pay more directly from your bank? So, I also use my credit cards for travel booking.

  • Emergencies

Though I do not recommend taking cash from a credit card, as it has hefty charges. But, in extreme emergencies, you can withdraw cash from your credit card.

Always use your credit card only if you can repay the amount on time. Different cards may offer better rewards in certain categories, so you can keep more than one credit card according to your spending habits.
