How to show NSC interest in income tax?
NSC interest should be declared under the ‘Income from Other Sources’ head in your Income Tax Return (ITR).
The interest is reinvested for the first four years and can be claimed as a deduction under Section 80C. The interest earned in the final year is taxable according to your income tax slab.
