How to Fill RD Form in Post Office?

Fill RD form in post office. How?

Opening a Recurring Deposit (RD) account at the post office is not very hard if you know how to fill out the RD account opening form.

Initially, you may find the account opening form-filling process hard. But I am sharing the process so that you can do it easily.

  1. Collect the RD form from the post office counter or download it from the India Post website.
  2. Write “RD” at the top of the first page.
  3. Fill in the name and address of the post office where you want to open the account.
  4. Enter your full name and the monthly deposit amount (minimum ₹10 or more as per your plan).
  5. Provide your father’s or spouse’s name, select your gender, and write your date of birth.
  6. Enter your Aadhaar number (12 digits) and PAN number, both mandatory for verification and tax.
  7. Write your complete address exactly as per your Aadhaar card, including house number, street, city, district, state, and pin code.
  8. Add your active mobile number and email ID for communication.
  9. Sign wherever required and ensure the signature is consistent across all sections.
  10. Affix a recent passport-size photo on the form.
  11. On the second page, fill in the nominee’s name and relationship to you.

Before submitting, always review the entire form carefully to avoid problems in future. In case of any confusion, you can ask the post office staff, and they will guide you further.
