How to Check Sovereign Gold Bond?

How can I check if sovereign gold bond has been allotted to me or not?

I recently checked my Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) allotment, and the process was easier than I expected. If you’ve invested in SGBs and want to confirm whether you’ve received your allotment, here’s exactly how to do it.

If you applied online through your Demat account, it will take about 1 to 2 weeks for the bonds to reflect in your portfolio. Follow these quick steps to check your allotment:

  • Log in to your demat or trading platform.
  • Go to the portfolio or holdings section and look for the Sovereign Gold Bond entry.
  • Check details such as the bond series, issue date, number of units, and maturity date.

You can also check your allotment status on your broker’s app or website under the SGB tab.

But if you’ve applied offline, the process is different. After purchasing the SGBs, you’ll receive a certificate of holding from the issuing authority. You will also get a digital copy of this certificate in your email. This certificate confirms your ownership and includes key details like the issue price, quantity, and maturity.

It’s important to check your allotment to ensure your investment is correctly recorded. It also helps you stay prepared for the first interest payout.
