Hey,
I recently updated the address on my Aadhaar card, and the process turned out to be much simpler than I thought. If you’ve recently moved and want to change your address on your Aadhaar, here’s how you can do it.

If you want to update your Aadhaar address online, you can easily do it through the UIDAI website. Just follow these quick steps:

  • Visit the official UIDAI website.
  • Click on “Update Aadhaar Online” or go to the My Aadhaar section.
  • Log in using your Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Choose the ‘Address Update’ option.
  • Enter the new address as appears on the valid proof of address.
  • Upload a scanned copy of your address proof (like electricity bill, rent agreement, bank statement, etc.).
  • Review the details carefully and submit your request.
  • Once submitted, you’ll get an Update Request Number (URN).

You can use this URN later to track the status of your update online. The process takes a few days and once it’s complete you’ll receive a confirmation SMS.

If you want to update the aadhaar offline by just visiting the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or authorized enrollment center. When visiting, carry a valid address proof and fill out the Aadhaar update form, and give your biometrics for verification.
