does credit card limit increase affect credit score?

When the credit card limit increases it affects your credit score but positively. When I recently increased my credit limit it actually improved my credit score. Increase in credit limit lowers the credit utilization ratio which means using a small part of the credit available. Higher credit limit helps in actua;;y achieving the lower credit utilization ratio which in result boosts the credit score.
